We spent Thanksgiving this year in KY. We had so much fun and Westen is hugged and kissed out! Besides eating lots of turkey and desserts, Westen got to spend lots of quality time with his daddy, Papaw, and cousins while I went Christmas shopping with my mom and sister. We also got to visit Austin's friend Whitey and his family and Westen finally got to meet my friend Renee! We soooo enjoyed the time we got to spend with our loved ones up there and can't wait to see them again. Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! To see more pics of our trip, click here. Add Comment Westen got to drive the boat today! I was a picture perfect boat day, so we cruised the Halifax, visited some friends, ate some yummy seafood for lunch, and even saw lots of dolphins! It was an awesome day! We all went to a local tea party event today. It was great to spend time with some like-minded peers. I had to share this picture of Austin in his new shirt which reads, "Don't Spread My Wealth - Spread My Work Ethic". And you, obviously, can't see it, but the back reads, "The Democracy will Cease to exist, when you Take Away From Those who are willing to work and Give to Those who would not." Pretty good, huh? Austin would wear it everyday if he could:) Here is Westen all fancied up for his Baby Dedication day at church! We hope to do our best in raising this little guy up in a Christian environment. He looks so handsome and he did a great job! Westen got to sit on the bench with Dad at the Embry-Riddle Alumni game Homecoming Weekend! We got to see many old friends and acquaintances. And Westen got lots of hugs and kisses:) The weather has been just beautiful here - perfect jeans and tshirt weather. Westen and I have been spending tons of time outside. We love to walk the bridge and then head to the park or Farmer's Market. This picture is at the park. Westen loves the swings! Westen had a great first Halloween! He dressed up as a Baby Barista (aka Starbucks employee). We first headed up to the local Starbucks to he could serve some customers drinks;) He fit right in. Then we headed to the Hometown HarvestFest at our church. Westen's friend Cameron (aka Tim Tebow) and his parents joined us! It was great. Westen took his first hayride and horseride. He also posed for pictures at the pumpkin patch. Afterwards, Cameron joined us in watching the Gators crush the Bull Dogs! Go Gators! We had so much fun. Check out the rest of the pics from the evening by clicking here. Just after Westen turned 9 months old, we found out he had the Chicken Pox. We couldn't believe it! We're still not sure where he got them from but he was covered. He was absolutely pitiful the first week, but we were actually stuck indoors for almost 2 weeks. Thankfully, we all made it through okay with only a few scars to show for it. To find out the whole story about how we found out that it was, indeed, chicken pox and for more pics, click here. The story will make you laugh! So we bought a boat this year and we love it! We took it out over the summer about every other weekend. We spent some of our time on the river, but most of our time at the Springs. Westen loves being on the boat! He usually ends up falling asleep. He got a great tan from it and got to take many of his cousins out on the boat with him. We've loved every minute of it and look forward to many more fun boating trips. I am Kate - wife of super high energy, super republican, super fun husband, Austin, and mother of 2 adorable, sweet boys - Westen and Baron! And mother of our eldest child, our sweet Boston Terrier, Cousey! Yeah, I'm outnumbered 4 to 1 so we have a home filled with rough-housing, trucks, trains, sports, you name it! I am what, over the years, has been called homemaker, housewife, and stay-at-home mom. I dare not say what today's society may call me (I kid... I kid!) I love being home with my boys and attempting to make my house a home. I'm what my mom calls "crafty", but feel more like a novice and hope to improve on my DIY and home-making skills. This blog is a way for us to share our adventures with our friends and family. To learn more about us, click here. Enjoy!
