First of all, Happy Birthday Aunt Na Na!  We spent today on the boat with our lovely friends, the Pendry's!  This is Westen's friend Alexander!  Here the boys are having a who can scream the loudest match!  We headed out to the Springs where we all played in the sand, saw lots of fish, ate lots of snack, and played with Cousey.  We had a great time with this sweet family and hope they'll join us again!

After a day spent on the boat and a good nap for Westen, we headed to the Soriano's for a cookout.  There were lots of kids there, but apparently Westen took a liking to Miss Addison.  They played so sweet together while checking out Tim's and Lyndsay's dogs through a sliding glass door.  Then Austin asked Westen if he could give Addison sugars which moved him to pucker.  Addison did the same and then I think they saw fireworks!  Of course, everyone loved it so they continued to do this on command, thus the perfect picture:)  I must say Westen has good taste.  This little girl's a looker!  Addison's mom and I have arranged for a 2nd date;)  Thanks for the good time Soriano's!

This is all day everyday at our house.  Westen simply adores Cousey.  Here, he is doing one of his favorite things with him - wallering all over him!  Thankfully, Cousey is the best dog ever and very tolerant of his 18 month old brother.  Cousey may never forgive us after this next baby!

This Father's Day we headed to the First Annual Ormond Beach Seafood Festival (daddy's pick).  It was blistering hot out so we found some shade to hang out in for awhile.  Westen is soooooo blessed to have such an awesome dad!  After we ate a seafood lunch, we headed home to jump in the pool and relax.  For dinner Westen and I treated Austin to Carrabbas, his favorite!  Happy Father's Day Austin!  We love you!

So this isn't exactly a new photo, but I have to share this story.  Around 4:15pm today I was on the phone with a friend and Cousey was pawing me to go outside.  I let him out the front yard and closed the door - something we do 3 or 4 times daily.  It was thundering and lightning but not raining, and as many of you know, Cousey is deathly afraid of storms.  Thinking he wouldn't stay out long because of the oncoming storm, I went back for him after about 10 minutes.  He wasn't at the door so I walked outside with Westen and we started calling for him.  He didn't show.  Then it started raining and I knew something was wrong. Cousey would never stay out in the rain if he could trot back inside.  To make a long story a little shorter, we walked around looking for him, called Austin to come home, and then drove around to look for him along with some gracious sweet neighbors.  Upon return, I had a complete meltdown sure that he'd had a heart attack because of the storm and we just hadn't stumbled across him yet.  Austin insisted that someone had picked him up because Cousey's just too scared to ever run off.  After 3 hours of agony, we got a phone call from the neighborhood security gate saying our dog had been found and the man who'd found him was on his way to our house Cousey in tow.  Come to find out the man lives on our road and owns a black pug himself.  He came home to find his pug and Cousey in his fenced in backyard.  Someone who knows this man, thought Cousey was his, picked Cousey up, and put him inside this man's backyard.  Cousey probably heard us calling for him the whole time but couldn't get to us.  He lives that close.  Thank God for answered prayers.  And as much as it pains me, I'll say it - Austin was right!

Westen got to celebrate his cousin Lauren's birthday today and, as you can see, eat some delicious watermelon!  He had fun and hopefully Lauren did too!

 

We headed out to the springs today and were amazed to see this plane there.  He cruised it out to Lake George, took off, then came back for a fly-by over the springs.  Kind of cool, we thought!
