This weekend marked the 7th Brown & Brown Annual Meeting that Austin and I have attended. As always, it was fun and entertaining. We started the weekend with a formal dinner. Here's Austin and I all gussied up. Thanks for doing my hair Mauveen and watching Westen for the night;)
This is a picture from the Thursday night Black Tie dinner where all Tangle B Club members were honored. Austin made the Gold Level this year which is the highest! Nice work, Babe!
This was our entertainment for the night. If you watched America's Got Talent last year, you may remember these triplets who play the fiddle. They were very talented, although I think most of the men were just drooling over them and not really listening! Ha!
Friday night was a costume party and the theme was Race On. We were Daytona 500 infield fans. The food was awesome, especially the ice cream, and there were tons of games to play. Here, Austin's trying to beat the record as a member of the pit crew.
Saturday morning Westen and I played while Austin went to meetings and then Austin joined us Saturday afternoon. The pool was a little cold but Westen didn't seem to mind (only me and Austin:).
Another dinner on Saturday night. Thanks for doing my hair again, Mauveen.
Austin with Cruis and Rock - the Embry-Riddle Grads. Quite a trio!
Westen had lots of fun at Rhett's birthday party playing in the sandbox and blowing bubbles - and eating cupcakes of course!
So my mom (aka Mamaw), Aunt Lori, and brother Ryan all came down to visit for a week. Here's Westen with his Uncle Ryan posing for a quick photo while playing outside. Ryan's a great uncle!
Their first day here, they spent some much needed relaxation time on the boat. We headed out to the St. John's for a nice cruise to the springs. It was a beautiful day! Below is Mamaw and Aunt Lori.
Ryan got to drive the boat that day which he thought was way cool. Plus we saw a gator. Austin tried to get close to him and almost got us stuck. Unbelievable!! I know one thing - if we had gotten stuck, he'd have been the only one gettin' in that water to try to move us out:)
After the boat trip, Mamaw and Westen spent some QT together while Mamaw gave Westen his afternoon milk. Precious!
Mamaw and Aunt Lori got a room on the beach for a couple nights during their stay, so we spent one day with them there. Westen thought he was so big wearing his new shades strolling on the beach. He had a great time with Mamaw!
Austin scored some tickets to a couple of the NCAA tournament games. He watched 2 second round games one of which included the famous Coach K and the Dukies!
We were so fortunate to have lunch with our friends Erica and Benson while they were in town visiting family. We ate a Moe's for lunch and Westen and Benson were having a cute little time here. It was so great to catch up!
Westen crawled under out table to retrieve one of his cars, stood up, then couldn't figure out how to get back out. Look at that sad little face! Being the good mother that I am, I saw the camera right there by the table, grabbed it, and took one quick photo before helping him out. I know - terrible!

Hi and welcome to our blog! I am Kate - wife of super high energy, super republican, super fun husband, Austin, and mother of 2 adorable, sweet boys - Westen and Baron! And mother of our eldest child, our sweet Boston Terrier, Cousey! Yeah, I'm outnumbered 4 to 1 so we have a home filled with rough-housing, trucks, trains, sports, you name it! I am what, over the years, has been called homemaker, housewife, and stay-at-home mom. I dare not say what today's society may call me (I kid... I kid!) I love being home with my boys and attempting to make my house a home. I'm what my mom calls "crafty", but feel more like a novice and hope to improve on my DIY and home-making skills. This blog is a way for us to share our adventures with our friends and family. To learn more about us, click here. Enjoy!
